Committee for Breast Cancer

PAC

The American Committee for Breast Cancer PAC, an Initiative of the AMCC PAC, is a political organization (not a charity) established under Section 527 of the IRS tax code. Americans need to help elect responsible public officials and educate Members of Congress about issues related to Breast Cancer.

A large portion of the contributions given to our organization are used to help offset the costs associated with fundraising.

Through your much needed support, we hope to educate the public about our nation’s important Breast Cancer health bills.

There are currently over 3 Million women in America with a history of Breast Cancer in the United States. Supporting fast track approval for life saving breast cancer treatment drugs through the FDA is imperative to saving the lives of countless Americans.

We need to advocate for maintaining and increasing the funding for the National Institutes of Health, including the National Cancer Institute and the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities.

Breast cancer is a significant health concern, standing as the most prevalent cancer affecting women in the United States, excluding skin cancers.

It represents approximately 30% of all new female cancer cases annually.

According to the American Cancer Society's projections for 2024, the statistics remain sobering: An estimated 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women.

Additionally, about 56,500 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) are expected to be diagnosed. Tragically, an estimated 42,250 women will lose their lives to breast cancer.

It's important to recognize that breast cancer predominantly affects middle-aged and older women, with the median age at diagnosis being 62.

However, it's essential to note that a small number of women diagnosed with breast cancer are younger than 45.

Breast cancer awareness initiatives, such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, play a critical role in educating the public about risk factors, symptoms, screening recommendations, and available treatment options.

In addition, advocacy groups like the American Breast Cancer Coalition PAC are essential in pushing for policies that support breast cancer research, prevention, and access to quality care.

As a Political Action Committee (PAC), the American Committee for Breast Cancer PAC is dedicated to advocating for policies and supporting candidates who align with our mission to fight breast cancer. Unlike charitable organizations, PACs are involved in political activities aimed at influencing legislation and shaping public policy. Contributions to our PAC help fund these efforts, enabling us to raise awareness and drive meaningful changes in policy.

We deeply appreciate your support and engagement in our mission to combat cancer and improve the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight for better health outcomes for women everywhere.
